This town traces back its history to more than 1,000 years. This walk begins at St Neots Bridge then follows the way-marked Ouse Valley Way on the north leading through the breathtaking Lammas Meadows that is on the river’s eastern portion.

The river will then eventually wind its way round to the Paxton Pits and this is where you can feast your eyes on the series of sparking lakes and ponds. All in all, there are 200 acres where you can explore different habitats such as woodland, scrub, reedbed, meadow. This is also an excellent place where you can go bird watching so make sure you have your binoculars with you.

After you explored the reserve, the walk will then go back to St Neots Bridge on similar paths. You will be passing through Riverside Park on the river’s western side on the southern part of the bridge. You can then follow paths on the south right past cricket ground so you can arrive at Eaton Socon wherein you will be crossing the river at an attractive lock.

You can follow Ouse Valley Way right past Eynesbury before you can return to the bridge. The town is situated near the famous Grafham Water where you can find more waterside walks along the expansive lake. Close to this is the long distance trail of The Three Shires Way. Its way-marked footpath is an excellent chance for you to explore the villages and countryside on the eastern portion of the town.
